The Battle of Sekigahara refers to the war that took place on September 15, 1600. Following the death of the then ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Commander Tokugawa Ieyasu (the Eastern Army), who aspired to rule the country, fought against Commander Ishida Mitsunari (the Western Army) who pledged loyalty to Hideyoshi's son, Hideyori. Tokugawa Ieyasu won the battle and established the foundation of the Edo period which lasted later on for 260 years. Sekigahara, a name that any Japanese people has heard of, is drawing tourist attention as a historic scene.

There are many hiking courses available from 1.5 hours to 6 hours, according to your inerest.
In this tour we take 2 hours in this Sekigahara including entering memorial museum, and then let's enjoy Gifu local specialty lunch Ayu (Sweet fish) course.

9:50               Meet our guide at JR Sekigahara station (Guide drives you to sightseeing spots by a compact car)
10:00-12:00   Visit Sekigahara (memorial museum, Sasao mountain, final battlefield etc)
12:40-13:40    Gifu local specialty lunch (Ayu-sweet fish course lunch)
13:50-14:30    Shopping in Gifu local roadside rest stop (Michinoeki)
15:00                JR Ogaki station/tour terminates (Guide assist purchasing ticket for your next destination)

-Basic price for one group: 56,000 yen per/group including English-speaking guide, fuel, highway tolls, parking fees, and tax.
-Additional price for individual: 5,450 yen per/person including admission ticket for Sekigahara memorial museum, sweet fish course lunch.

This tour service starts at JR Sekigahara station/terminates at JR Ogaki station.
